Hourglass of the Snow
By AQ, January 29th 2015
Drop your Hourglass
In the depths of the world
Beneath your shattered heart,
As your foot reaches for the
Emptiness,
The Fate you chose
On your isolated isle in the
Ever flowing ocean,
Where ships come and pass
Without stopping for you.
The blinding Fog is your
Savior
As it draws a veil on the
Shadows surrounding you.
In the dark light of one's own soul,
Open your hand and
Hear
The glass
Shatter,
As grains of golden sand spread on the ever falling ground.
You expected a smile on your face,
But the
Wind
Blows away the thick layer suffocating your sight.
Black fades into grey,
And the falling snow,
Brought by the breeze,
Will fill the emptiness beneath your feet.
You will step on the ground again
As the grains of sand will gather inside the
Hourglass,
Recovering from its broken parts.
